Rural consumers, particularly women and marginalized communities.
Objective: To educate consumers about their rights and responsibilities, promoting informed decision-making and consumer protection.
Materials Used: Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, including booklets and pamphlets, distributed in local languages.
Awareness Campaigns:
Conducted workshops and seminars to raise awareness about consumer rights, product quality, and safety standards.
Engaged local communities through interactive sessions to discuss consumer issues and grievances.
Training Programs:
Provided training to community leaders and volunteers to disseminate consumer education effectively.
Focused on empowering women through knowledge about consumer rights and financial literacy.
Impact:
Increased awareness among rural consumers, leading to better understanding and utilization of consumer rights, resulting in improved consumer protection and advocacy.
SAVERA is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 from GNCT of Delhi and also holds registration under Section 12AA & 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. SAVERA has also been registered with Niti Aayog’s NGO Darpan portal.
