Welcome to SAVERA, a non-governmental organization that was founded in the year 2000 by Mr. Binod Ashish, a journalist and consumer activist, along with a team of enthusiastic and committed individuals from various backgrounds. SAVERA has been a beacon of hope and transformation dedicated to empowering communities and fostering sustainable development. Our mission is to transform lives and uplift communities through dedicated, impactful initiatives. For over two decades, we have been at the forefront of driving positive change in rural areas, focusing on empowering rural women, enhancing health and education, empowering women and adolescent girls and fostering holistic development.
Founded with a vision to create equitable opportunities and sustainable development, we have worked tirelessly to address critical issues faced by rural communities, artisans, adolescent girls, farmers. Our mission is to drive meaningful change by addressing critical needs and unlocking potential in underserved communities. Through a comprehensive approach, we work to enhance skills, health, education, and economic opportunities while promoting sustainable practices and social equity.
We provide training and resources to empower women artisans in rural areas, helping them hone their skills, access broader markets, and achieve financial independence.
Our health camps offer essential medical care and preventive services, while our nutrition programs are dedicated to improving the health and well- being of malnourished women and children through targeted support and education.
We are committed to enhancing educational opportunities by improving school infrastructure and providing resources that support both students and educators. Our focus extends to the holistic development of adolescent girls, fostering their growth and leadership.
We work to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water, a fundamental necessity for health and well-being. Our projects aim to build sustainable water sources and improve sanitation practices.
Addressing menstrual hygiene challenges, we distribute reusable sanitary pads to young girls, ensuring they can attend school and participate fully in their communities without interruption.
We empower communities with knowledge about consumer rights and practices, enabling them to make informed decisions and advocate for fair treatment in the marketplace.
Our programs are designed to increase the income of jute and makhana farmers through better farming techniques, market access, and fair trade practices.
We are also engaged in urban reforms, working to improve living conditions, promote sustainability, and support community development in urban settings.
